I thought this was powerful from Ann Voskamp’s book, The Broken Way.

Color Me Happy!

Loved creating this piece for a “Color Me Happy” Let’s Face It lesson. I used a Pinterest image for my inspiration. I am also “Colored Happy” because we passed the final city inspection for my studio addition today. Happy dance!

Gerbera Moods

Going through some old photos in Lightroom since my photo-shoot space is in limbo right now as I await the completion of a new studio space. I keep reminding myself, “It will get done, it will get done!” Tomorrow a huge delivery of cabinets comes for which the room is not yet ready. I picture my husband and I buried under boxes as we wait for the addition to be far enough along for the cabinet boxes to at least go in the room let alone be actually installed. :-\
Oscar Abstracted

One of my photos from the Oscar de la Renta show that was held in San Francisco earlier this year. These gowns were in the Hollywood room and were worn by various stars at different events.
Vernazza, Cinque Terre, Italy

Vernazza, Italy, buildings. Although I would hate to have to dry my laundry this way for all the world to see (in California I wouldn’t be surprised if they force us to do this in future- (CalGreen is my art studio addition nemesis!), it does make for great pictures!
Manarola Village, Cinque Terre, Italy

The path leading away from Manarola offers such a lovely view of this picturesque Cinque Terre village. It must be especially delightful when tourist season isn’t in full swing, or later in the day when all of the tour groups are gone. I wondered what the villagers thought of all of the people traipsing through their town (of which I was one!). I am grateful that they are willing to share it with the world! Bella Italia!
My heart goes out to all in Italy affected and displaced by the recent earthquake. Praying that many survive the collapsed buildings.
Abstracting Figures

Been intrigued lately with wanting to achieve a more abstract look to figures which I plan on incorporating into my hands-on art. This piece was made using a vintage photo and many layers in Photoshop.
