This is a close-up shot of just one of the many pieces that make up a glass ceiling in the exhibit hall. I love how the close vantage point creates an abstract effect.

This lovely display shows how Dale Chihuly was inspired by Indian basket designs to create glass pieces reflecting not only their intricate patterns, but also even the slump that the baskets got with age. There are beautiful threads of glass incorporated into some of these pieces that are so beautifully delicate. He truly is a master as were the original basket makers.
Space Needle Through Conservatory
I added an onOne border to this shot taken from inside the conservatory where the glass flowers give their own frame to the space needle.
Chihuly Reflection 1
This is the first of many reflection images I took at the Chihuly exhibit in Seattle. The whole design of this exhibit was so perfectly put together; a breathtaking experience.

For Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday, I used kk_simplistic at 21% opacity and a blend mode of Color Burn.
You should have seen the look on the mom’s face when her little boy thought these pedestals were a fun place to climb into!
Texture Tuesday, Hold Fast to Dreams
A photo of the vignette I have set up in my entry way. I created the mixed media canvas a year or so ago. I love birds and love to feed them and make sure they have water (drought conditions here right now). I used kk_grungedup for the texture. I also used kk_daysofold Lightroom preset, lightening the exposure just a bit.
A Road of Possibilities
A photo of the road to Hana, Maui, taken by my daughter when we were there a couple of weeks ago. Definitely not for the squeamish, this road leads to so many lovely possibilities. Viburnum Fall 2013
