I took this photo in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. It is part of the front of one of the art museums there. I added two layers of kk_partings at 100%, Multiply Blend Mode, and also a Filter Forge Filter on top of that. This is for Texture Tuesday, the Black & White.

A friend and I had a lovely day photographing different still life vignettes last week. I am starting Kim Klassen’s BeStill52 Photography class this week and thought this photo said what I am working toward. A STILL life wherein I am trusting Christ to work in me His own character.

Texture Tuesday “Yellow”
Here is a shot I took last month in Seattle in the Chihuly garden. A friend said that this piece looks like a Chihuly self-portrait since he has a wild mass of curly hair. I thought it would be good for this week’s “yellow” theme for Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday. I used kk_july-1 for the texture layer, at 15% opacity and a blend mode of Color Dodge.
Memories of Love…
Had a wonderful day taking photos with photographer and friend Sherri Reed. We set up all kinds of vignettes and took the photos outside in my backyard. This piece is nostalgic for me because it contains a few items from my Mom. I used some textures from Design Cuts; http://www.designcuts.com- Flyerphotooverlays5canvas, texture #21; and 2LO Distressed 11. I adjusted the opacity and blend mode on each texture used. The border is from onOne- Emulsion Transfer 2. Creating vignettes in my home and also specifically for a photo shoot are such a joy to create. A perfect day with a like-minded friend!

Friday Find
Although taken last week, I am using this photo for this Friday’s Find. I loved these sweet little pots outside of a shop in La Conner, WA. The faucets add such a cute touch. I first used Kim’s kk_likeadream LR Preset; I also added kk_framed texture overlay. The border is from onOne.
