Going through some old photos in Lightroom since my photo-shoot space is in limbo right now as I await the completion of a new studio space. I keep reminding myself, “It will get done, it will get done!” Tomorrow a huge delivery of cabinets comes for which the room is not yet ready. I picture my husband and I buried under boxes as we wait for the addition to be far enough along for the cabinet boxes to at least go in the room let alone be actually installed. :-\
Gorgeous blood oranges from the farmer’s market last week. Finally have a few minutes to work on the images that a friend and I set up after buying some of the lovely produce. Love the colors in this image; you just never know what will work…

One of my rhododendrons has decided now is the time to bloom! With the drought in California, I am not sure if it is just confused or a fall bloomer. I also have a redbud with a few blooms on it. This week’s Texture Tuesday theme is nature. I took this shot a couple of weeks ago at Madrona Manor in Healdsburg as we walked amidst the garden. I used a Lightroom Preset- kk_classicwarm, along with 3 of Kim’s textures- kk_3003-2; kk_weathered; and kk_hello. I used an Aristotle quote with the fonts “Dear Sarah” and “Editor.”
I love this verse from the book of Psalms. It lightens and strengthens my heart. May it cheer up your heart today!
I used Kim’s kk_franklin in two different layers, adding a hue/saturation adjustment to each and also switching the layers to a Soft Light Blend Mode. In between I added a Filter Forge 4 “Soft-focus Amplify” filter. For Kim’s Texture Tuesday. http://www.kimklassen.com

A friend and I had a lovely day photographing different still life vignettes last week. I am starting Kim Klassen’s BeStill52 Photography class this week and thought this photo said what I am working toward. A STILL life wherein I am trusting Christ to work in me His own character.

Although taken last week, I am using this photo for this Friday’s Find. I loved these sweet little pots outside of a shop in La Conner, WA. The faucets add such a cute touch. I first used Kim’s kk_likeadream LR Preset; I also added kk_framed texture overlay. The border is from onOne.
