AWAKE inspired…
Inspired by a couple of different online classes; AWAKE and Lifebook 2015. The image is an image transfer on watercolor paper; some Dover image flowers collaged on top; before I added any more collage or paint I took a photo with my iPhone; the rest is all done digitally using content for the most part from the AWAKE class
Longing…
Week 4’s journal spread for the Book of Days journalling class by Effy Wild. I’ve been in the process of getting my childhood home on the market and longing for the day when it is sold!
Painting Day!
Had fun painting on a rainy afternoon on a piece of previously prepared white muslin coated with Venetian plaster. I used a lesson from one of Kate Thompson’s online classes, but chose to work with gouache, re-inkers and gesso rather than acrylic paint. Love the technique of painting on Venetian plaster, whether it is applied to fabric or a wooden canvas.
For Those Who Have Suffered…
I created this piece with inspiration from Finnabair’s lesson on Life Book 2014. As the piece developed it reminded me of those women who have lost their hair to cancer and wear scarves and other headgear. I want each of them to remember they are beautiful.
