Went outside to get another photo of one of my camellias. I used a Filter Forge filter, plus two layers of Kim’s Downton Cora texture at different opacities and at soft light blend mode. Did some inital editing to the photo in Lightroom.
I am enjoying going through my old photos for some of these assignments. I had always wanted to play around with them and am so glad to have the time now to do so. Lightroom has helped a lot! I used an “inasdesigns” texture and one of Kim’s textures. I also used a Filter Forge filter to soften the background. I added some adjustment layers as well.
A photo taken at Avila Bay in central CA. My husband and I spend time there every year and also live near Bodega Bay in northern CA; love to go to Maui and also to the Mendocino coast. Nothing like the ocean, it is different every day! This is just one truth on my list. I found lots of similarities between mine and Kim’s and several other BL members!
I used a photo taken from a trip to the tulip fileds in the Skagit Valley in WA. I found this quote online and liked it. I found a grayish texture worked best with this image after trying several other choices. This was a fun project; I added more color than the class sample, but wanted the one tulip to stand out from the rest.
